PAM01466 Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech™

This new Panerai Luna Rossa watch features a new material: Ti-Ceramitech is a titanium alloy that has undergone a patented titanium “ceramization” process through Electrolytic Plasma Oxidation, resulting in the case’s handsome blue hue. According to Panerai, the process turns the surface of the titanium alloy into a dense ceramic layer, improving the material’s hardness; Ti-Ceramitech is 44% lighter than steel and has a fracture toughness ten times higher than traditional ceramic.

This Ti-Ceramitech case measures 44mm (quaranta quattro is Italian for 44) in diameter and is water resistant to 500 meters. The unidirectional bezel is also fashioned from Ti-Ceramitech while the caseback is made from micro-sandblasted titanium. Beneath that caseback lies the Caliber P.900 automatic movement with a 3-day power reserve. The 4.2mm-thick caliber operates at 28,800 beats per hour and includes 171 components, 23 jewels, and a single barrel.

The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech PAM01466 is fitted with a rubber and blue textile strap, which is color-matched to the case and features a red stripe down the center with the Luna Rossa name.

PAM01579 – Submersible Luna Rossa

Encased in a 42mm brushed steel case, the Submersible Luna Rossa PAM01579 boasts a unidirectional rotating steel bezel with black matte ceramic disk, chosen for its notably higher resistance to scratches than a metal one. The bezel’s robustness complements the watch’s steel case, ensuring the Submersible Luna Rossa is ready for challenge, whether it’s aboard a racing yacht or deep beneath the waves. Water resistant up to 30 bar (300 meters), this watch has been rigorously tested, subjected to pressures 25% greater to ensure it meets Panerai’s standards.

The sophisticated, white grained matte dial is created through a process where the dial is first pressed to obtain a grainy effect and then finished with a white varnish lacquer. The screwed case back, which helps to ensure the watch’s high degree of water resistance, is made of stainless steel and it is engraved with the image of a Slow Speed Torpedo, the notorious “pig” on which the commandos of the Italian Navy sailed through the depths of the sea on their missions while wearing instruments made by Panerai, in the 1940s.

PAM01404 – Luminor Quaranta BiTempo Luna Rossa

With the launch of the new Luminor Luna Rossa Quaranta BiTempo PAM01404, Panerai confirms once again the role of Official Sponsor of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team. Thanks to its GMT feature, the new model can simultaneously track the time in two different time zones. The sun-brushed blue dial is enlivened by the red used for the central arrow-headed GMT hand and the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock.

Measuring 40mm in diameter, the stainless steel case is satin-brushed, with the exception of the polished bezel. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 100 meters (330 feet). Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the automatic P.900/GMT operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 3 days.

This timepiece is paired with a bi-material rubber and textile strap in a Luna Rossa dark blue, with a red stripe that features the team’s logo. It’s equipped with a practical Click Release System enabling strap change with a simple click and release operation.

PAM01381 and PAM01378 – Luminor Due Luna Rossa

Also available in this new collection are two Luminor Due Luna Rossa’s, PAM01381 in 42mm and PAM01378 in 38mm. Both pieces are equipped with Panerai’s P.900 calibre, 3 bar water resistance, and Click Release easy strap change system.
